my parents divorced when i was little. its not as bad for me becasue i dont remember much of it. but it still hurts horribly to this day. i mean yes i may have to rooms to christmas;s and all that but thats not whati want. i want both my parents. we cant do 'Family stuff' we can only do separated family stuff. all i can say is do not EVER underestimate the pain of divorce.

my parents were together for 17 years and just split a year ago to this exact day, and i was soooo sure they where going to get back together but that didn't happen my mom left and ran off with a new guy and i haven't seen her or spoken to her in 8 monthes, i really thought they still wanted to be together, this song is really sad and makes me cryyy.

in my eyes that children need both of their parents but sometimes one parent is so controlling or abusive or both and im with a man that loves me and my child and i know in my heart that my baby will have that father that my dad wanted to be for me so i thank God and my deceased father for the help thou to help me provide my baby with a wonderful daddy thou that they will be very proud to call daddy

This is truly a beautiful song. But what happens when both parents don't still feel the love? What happens when the parents hate each other so much now that they cant look past their feud to help their children? Speaking as a person who has seen the consequences, the kids either learn to hate both their parents, or have trouble surviving out in the world. A lot of kids with divorced parents suffer from severe depression.
