A basic demo of writing and compiling basic C++ code in Mac OS X. I made due to extreme boreness. Enjoy!
I'll probably re-upload in order to include a audio-track explaining what's going on.

  • @musicnrd sorry, this video is from 2008 and the demo is in OS X Tiger. Since then, 3 new version of OS X have come out (Leopard, Snow Leopard, and Lion) and I'm no longer a full time Mac user. You may have to install Xcode from Apple now in order to be able to use g++/gcc, I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful!

  • for c,c++ etc. isn't better if you use bootcamp or even better vmware to work with windows that have visual studio.. for complex work?

  • @xandrox22001 you could also just use Xcode on a Mac, this was just a basic demo contrasting to how you would do it on a Linux system :)

  • A question: I wonder, if i'm going to start with c/c++ next year, what kind of laptop should I buy? mac or win?

Does mac got all the programs for c/c++, php etc etc..?

Will mac support all the "future programming languange"?

mac is the only computer with cool design and freshness :))

  • both mac and windows support c, c++, php, java, and all the modern programming languages. Of course, each has its own languages such as mac and obj-c and windows and C#.

if you're going to take programming in school, id suggest going with whatever the schools using as it's pretty hard to keep up with your work on a different platform.

i personally prefer the mac, even though my school uses windows. I have to take a few extra steps with my assignments, but it's worth it =)
