Those fashions were never in, that I can remember. I never liked Arizona jeans. I much preferred Levis. I remember this commercial and it was stupid and clueless then even. The mainline department stores always try to be cool and edgey, but they almost always fail. Nowadays, I wouldn`t hesitate to wear Arizona jeans. Brands lose their meaning when you breech 25 years of age.
