~ SUPPORT youth who have been targets of bullying & violence in part from the actual or perceived sexual orientation and/or gender identity.
~ SHARE information & resources regarding bullying, suicide, resiliency, esteem/confidence.
~ Take the Prevent Homophobic/Transphobic Bullying PLEDGE
1. Jamie Hubley, openly gay 15 year-old from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada who was bullied and committed suicide Oct. 15, 2011
2. Jamey Rodemeyer openly gay 15 year-old from New York who was bullied and committed suicide.
3. Barbara Coloroso explains why we all need to respond and stop bullying.
4. Alyson Schafer explains what parents should know about bullying.
5. Study shows that more supportive the school/home/workplace/community environment improves lives of glbttq people.
6. "Prayers for Bobby" reminds us that children hear the hateful, harmful, ignorant things adults/parents say.

8. Chris' advice is "Come out & Live Out" will reduce bullying and rejection.

There is a big difference between these two cases (Jamie Hubley & Jamey Rodemeyer) & Bobby Griffith. Jamie & Jamey's parents fully supported them. Mary Griffith understanding and acceptance came only after Bobby's suicide.
