Heres a little video about how to play radiohead's "creep" on the mandolin. Its pretty straightforward, G B C Cm and the sus chords sort of thrown in there by ear. These are made by keeping the chord the same except moving the note on the third string up a fret for the major chords and up two frets for the minor chord.

G Gs B Bs C Cs Cm Cms
-3--3--7--7--8--8--8--8----
-2--3--6--7--7--8--6--8----
-0--0--4--4--5--5--5--5----
-0--0--4--4--5--5--5--5----

thanks for watching and sorry for the heavy breathing at the beginning, i have a cold

  • It would be great if you could do a video, I'm suppose to play it for a funeral, and I am pretty tone deaf, so I can't do it by ear.

    thanks

Keep up the good work. Rockin the mandolin and such.

  • oops, i just remembered, i am sending you a pm

  • Do you happen to know "Somewhere my love" from Doctor Zhivago?

  • i do not, though i will look it up and see if i can do something with it. thanks for the lead.

  • Not his voice, he's playing along to the guitar acoustic version of Creep.

  • FUCKING! The lyric is FUCKING! Stupid radio edit. Nevertheless, 'very' good cover

  • Wow, very nice. I'm just picking up the mandolin and I keep coming back to listening to you play this. So good. Thanks.

  • nice

  • Wow..that's all I can say..WOW

  • ouch!

  • amazing voice. i'm hoping to pick up the mandolin sometime soon. would you recommend it to someone who mildly knows music but has never touched a string instrument? i've heard it's a bit easier to get the hang of than guitar for someone starting out.

  • You're great - you keep rhythm nicely as you change the chords and sing. I wish I had that kind of chordination "hehehehe".
