Do you understand that horses rarely lay down and sleep standing up? You say they are surrounded by hay which is flammable. What else are they supposed to eat. Do you also know that horses are susceptible to colic and that if you feed them other shit, you have a very expensive surgery on your hands? Seriously PETA, get your effing facts straight.

Why doesn't the city of New York pass a law against horse-drawn carriage rides? In the midst of fumes and traffic is no place for a horse... is there a primary link to sign a petition?

Also to the people that are complaining that there are other animals that are much worse off than horse. That may be true and they maybe have been suffering for longer or are treated worse but that doesn't take away from the fact that we should help these horse and that they aren't suffering. Also there isn't anything wrong with wanting to help animals, they deserve to be treated equally and not be put through things like this so why should we wait to help humans before helping animal?

Also in response to Raptor89994 (even though this was posted long ago) I dont understand why it would be bad if we tried to live together in peace with animals? Do you think that just because they aren't like humans that it doesnt matter how they are treated?? Because that isn't right.

I support what this video is saying and think that we all should even though some facts may not be entirely accurate. I have also looked back at some old comments that people have posted i feel are really ignorant. Of course horses don't sleep in beds but the video is saying if YOU were forced to live in a terrible cramp space instead of your nice, comfortable bed.

Just because the stables have a sprinkler system installed doesn't mean the horses will be able to get out. If your house caught on fire and you had a sprinkler system you would still get outside if you could, you wouldn't sit in front of the TV or lay in bed thinking 'This house has a sprinkler system so I don't need to get out.' Sprinkler systems are designed to lessen the flames so there is enough time for people to get out, not put out the fire completely.

The point isn't that they have hay. The point is that the hay is flammable and the stables where the hay is and the horses sleep are not safe if a fire breaks out. They have no way to get out, like Lea said, They are tied to their troughs.

I don't think Lea Michele should be the spokes person for this. Horses RARELY EVER sleep laying. Seriously, get your facts straight! Of course they don't need to "stretch out" they do that already when they're driving people around. I bet that the majority of these horses actually love to pull people around. Just like the majority of barrel racing horses love to barrel race! Those horses are perfectly equipped for working in the sweltering hot OR the freezing cold.
