Preview of the great new track from Al Jardine. The basic track and Carl Wilson's vocal were recorded in 1978. Overdubs with Jardine's Beach Boys bandmates Mike Love and Brian Wilson have been completely recently.
Look out for Jardine's forthcoming CD "A Postcard From California."
The basic track for Dont Fight the Sea was recorded in 1978, along with the late Carl Wilsons vocals. Brian Wilson, Mike Love and Al Jardine have recently completed the overdubs.

Really like this. I don't think tracks with vocals recorded so many years apart ever sound quite right but the track is good overall, the BBs blend is still present and its an OK addition to the legacy. Here's hoping for a decent album this year.

@STLVoxRox Actually this song was recorded original by Carl Wilson, but they restored the song and recorded with Brian, David and Al. Actually Brian voice can be clearly heard in 0:56

@mdefil23 : Some consider this to be the last true Beach Boy song at least until Summer of 2012. Many great artists appear on this album. Stephen Stills is among them. I love this song. Al still sounds like he's twenty something. I can't wait for their 50th anniversary reunion tour and album. Imagine some brand new songs written by Brian. He's recording and touring with them. How could someone comment that this song is horrible?

@Javier23gol that's not Brian Wilson, that's his younger brother Carl from recordings done before he died.

@LandOfMutants Good call. Check the credits and you see it's Steve Miller plagiarizing himself.
