@jayandshaz1181 Hopefully N.I will progress with its tidal power programme which is very reliable and sustainable, I have been keeping an eye on the Strangford tidal turbine which is an amazing bit of kit.

please type in google Economy_of_Northern_Ireland to see this info in more detail its in wiki . I am quite surprised that people dont know about these connections as cost quite alot when built and was all over the papers re scotland being able to sell excess power to norway ireland and rof ireland via these interconnections .

This combined all-island grid is connected to the National Grid on the island of Great Britain by the 500 MW Moyle interconnector, under the North Channel. so yes they do import energy and also gas from scotland thru the ireland scotland gas transfer pipeline
