Krönungs-Anthem für Georg II / "Zadok the Priest" (1727)
Aufzeichnung aus der Marktkirche Halle, 2009. Ausgestrahlt am 26.5.2011 im MDR.
Am 14. April 2009 jährte sich zum 250. Mal der Todestag Georg Friedrich Händels. Aus diesem Anlass spielten führende europäische Barockensembles in der Taufkirche des Komponisten. Auf dem Programm standen die Rekonstruktion des Händel-Gedenkkonzertes, wie es am 26. Mai 1784 in der Westminster Abbey zu London gegeben wurde. Unter der Leitung von Howard Arman musizierten The English Concert, das Händelfestspielorchester Halle, der MDR RUNDFUNKCHOR, die Hallenser Madrigalisten, der Händelfestspielchor und der Chor der Oper Halle.
