Here's a data point: I'm a silicon valley electronics design consultant, and business has definitely picked up over the last 30-60 days. Pretty interesting, actually. I've haven't been hurt personally by the downturn, but the last 18 months have been VERY dry for some others I know.

cause going back 2 years about x-mas time, the dollar was at just about it's lowest point and if the x-mas sales were hurting in the US then year later (2008) those banking assholes knew that they couldnt allow for that again (hence the bullshit dollar ralley)....now 2009 here we go again .....
