  • @alpinorico well, I had the same question, but today I discovered that for this movie, she used 60 sinti and rom people and said them she will save them from camps but then sent them to auschwitz.. so at least, people you see here, all died in chambers rooms.

  • I am watching Leni dance. Why does all this "racist" nonsense have to be dragged in?

  • @AlexChiusday maybe with the one exception that riefenstahl wasnt racist, but hollywood used what she had invented to spread their racism ^^

  • Funny how the Spaniard-Mexican racist mashup in movies didn't actually start in Hollywood, but in nazi germany.

  • Man, Leni looked hot in that outfit. She was no classic beauty, but she knew how to exude 'sexiness'. And, of all people, Molly Shannon should play leni instead of Jodi Foster in that aborted film bio.

  • Sheesh, Leni was 40 when this was shot. Those poor "peasants" though.

  • Hi Can i have Copy of this film our to look all cuz i need for a select of the One Festival In Kosovo ?? plzz ou where to get just to watch

  • Grossartig! Ich hab gelesen dass Riefenstahl selbst eine Rolle in diesem Film

    spielte?

  • the look like mexicans not spanards

  • You've hit it on the button - 84443985! Still, the fact that she managed to do this in the Bavarian Alps - some fantasy about Spaniards - using gypsies speaks volumes. Did she know what would happen to these extras? One suspects yes. Might she have thought that employing them thus could save them? Who knows. All in all an exercise in escapism. I lived there, aged 14 when she functioned; had no idea about her, recall her Olympic thing. We were all so impressed.
