Is this a model 8BH? Looks like it. Nice vid!

I wonder if the Thai factories Honda employs for some of its engines are based in Chiang Mai, once the home to the Lanna kingdom?
-
Buy them here while you can!!!
-
I just read on the Briggs and Stratton website faq page that 90 % of their engines and parts are made in the U.S.A.!!!!!

Aluminum frame.

@GETRDUN Unfortunately, no. They're made in China & I think they make some in Thailand.

@KenMacMillan : B&S engines are not American anymore?
-
Put it on a boat!

Brings back lots of memories when I was younger mowing our yard at home. Its too bad Briggs and Stratton doesn't build these engines anymore.
-
And if you did, you'd be paying lots of money to do so.

Which alone indicates why I'd go after a mower this old... and no newer than 1995. One that I hope to obtain will have an engine with the "Pull-N-Go" vertical-pull start, what my Tecumseh-powered 1984 Toro 20672 blade-brake-clutch-equipped rear-bagger has.

@ClassicTVMan1981X a question, what year did they made the crank start mower, like to find me one of those mowers

The "Shock-Free"? They introduced it in 1960 and dropped it in 1971. It didn't sell well due to some maligned users leaving the spring in the open position, which if fully wounded would cause the handle to swing back violently at them, starting the engine (especially dangerous if the user's hand or foot was near the blade).

@ClassicTVMan1981X, ok i saw some mowers like that at a junkyard, but was in bad condition for me to get them and fix them up again
