The 404s bring their signature improv comedy stylings to the fans at Anime North in Toronto. In "Two-Line Vocabulary", one performer has to deal with two more, each of which is limited to saying one of two lines given to them...

  • Sorry but this is a complete rip-off of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?", even the lines used are similar.

  • Why be sorry? We were liberally inspired and borrowed freely from that show - just as "Whose Line" liberally borrowed from other shows and existing improv games. Even if the lines were similar, our situation, characters and the result were completely different. Pretty sure the "Whose Line" cast never referenced Sailor Moon. ;)

  • That's a bad analogy. That's like saying it's alright to copy a program like "who wants to be a millionaire?" as long as the contestants and questions are different. Yes, "Whose Line" references a lot of things in pop culture, but that's all they are - references. They aren't copying an entire idea.

  • Fair enough - but you can't say that Whose Line was the originator of that idea. For example, many of the games they played were integrated from The Comedy Store Players when Whose Line recruited Paul Merton, Josie Lawrence and others. The game ideas and situations have been around for decades at least. Whose line just happened to be the first to put them on TV, and we simply borrowed them back to the stage. We aren't deliberately plagiarizing them, any more than they're plagiarizing others.

  • i agree with the 404's....if we all made new improv games it would SUCK! So we borrow....im also 100% sure there's no copyright on an improv game O.o and if there is that should definitely be better advertised! Also I'm pretty sure that improv groups would be honored if you were to play their games.

  • lol 2 funny. i luv it
