"But more importantly, this is a terrible way to run government. We are facing some serious issues in America today, particularly the fact that we are borrowing $4 billion a day to keep the lights on and particularly the fact that we owe $14 trillion and growing. It's time to face those issues in a serious way. The time for waiting is over. The time for games has passed."

Very true. The longer this issue is delayed, the more pain everyone will experience. Hold fast and know you will face resistance for another continuing resolution. Actions have consequences, unfortunately inaction may have greater consequences.

We The People must show Congress that they have to comply with the will of the people by showing up in DC, the same way showed up on 9/12/2009.

In a sick way, Americans are addicted to this national cycle of debt. "NIMBY", "Don't cut my money, subsidy, tax break, etc." I think the Repubs are trying to give a glimpse of the rock-bottom in hopes of waking up enough American voters to maintain a majority for a longer term, rather than push through immediate measures and lose out in the long run. Vote for Rubio all the way, til he is the leading voice for the majority of Americans! We should support and spread his message to all we know.

Rubio is right, but unfortunately, I don't think most American voters even bother to care, listen, or God forbid, UNDERSTAND, what this all means. Rubio is the type of leader we need, but in the corruption of D.C., it would almost cost him to be so honest. I fear that voters will blame any drastic cuts that are needed on conservatives or Republicans and give the government right back to the Dems.

The left/right paradigm at work yet again. I sent Boehner an email yesterday (since they will not answer the phone) demanding that he lay down the gavel and resign...fat chance huh! Washington DC has always been a political whore house but did try to hide it a bit in the past. The arrogance is stunning. I will never vote for anyone else who reportedly has "political experience". To me that equates to recruiting the most experienced thief to break into my home.

I thought Boehner would be a decent leader in Congress after the ouster of the wicked witch, Pelosi. Not so, he caves in to Democratic demands and ignores the promises he made to the American people who elected Republicans in November: at least $100 billion in cuts & end ObamaCare. Boehner refuses to defund ObamaCare & caves in to less than $100 billion in cuts. Republicans in Congress look like the jerks they were earlier when Americans booted them out the last time.

It's "business as usual in DC" with only a few like Senator Rubio with the cojones to try to do what is right. How much longer will this bubble continue to expand before it bursts? I assume our leadership has a stash of gold bars in their "safe houses" on some island somewhere, their jets at the ready to whisk them away at the appropriate moment as they watch their wonderful handiwork collapse into oblivion.

Many of us Conservative Republicans are losing hope in the Republican Party. I see it everywhere. The older members of the Party think this is just politics as usual and don't seem to understand what is facing this country if they don't get their heads out of DC. There seems to be something in the water in DC that makes it impossible for them to face reality. Maybe a third Party might be the answer. During the election, they acted like they heard us, then they went back to their old habits.
