Yes I am pretty sure this works on all the zombies maps like ascension, kino der toten, five, and all the classic waw zombie maps. It is pretty easy all you have to do is buy the box, jump and shoot your pistol, spin around and shoot again and you will get a thunder gun, ray gun, or one of the lmgs 9/10. Please do not flame me if this doesn't work for you the first time or so, I am just posting this because it works me for and the rest of my friends. Good luck and I hope this glitch/trick works for you.
