Protest against police and anti-terror laws - Auckland

Politicians have joined activists in a march to Auckland's, Mt Eden Prison to protest against recent police raids.

Thirteen organised protests were carried out accross the country including a diverse range of people.

Seventeen people were arrested under the Firearms Act and the Terrorism Suppression Act on October 15 spanning most of New Zealand.

The raids were the result of investigations into weapons training camps alleged to have been in the Urewera country.

Six of the arrested are in custody at Mt Eden Prison.

Don't see how they didn't get charged under the Terrorism Suppression Act i've heard the police had everything then needed to do the raids and make arrests under the act.

It's stupid to see that people are pissed off about the A-O-S and other armed officers pointing guns at young people but in these cases you can't take it too light.
