AC16 Hong Kong-Toronto, apporach and landing at Toronto Pearson Airport, with a Forerunner 305 displaying GPS ground speed (km/h, sorry knots not an option) and altitude (MSL in feet).

Ground speed at approach and touchdown is 135 knots.

  • The speed is not correct....No way do they land at 250kts.....

  • @mlontz1 The ground speed on the forerunner is 250 km/h, not 250 knots. Nautical miles / knots is not an available speed unit choice for the Forerunner. 250 km/h = 135 knots.

  • i still cannot get over how amazing travelling 6000 miles in 12hrs was. Thats one of the best experiences you'll ever have as long as you live

  • @210482fmj Boeing 777 (all models) normally cruise at Mach 0.84.

  • @210482fmj Boeing 777 (all models) normally cruise at Mach 0.84. (84% of speed of sound)

  • @deedlit60 Not exactly Mach 0.84. The FMC calculates optimal cruise speed based on the cost index entered. Lower CI gives lower fuel consumption but lower cruising mach. The opposite when a higher CI is entered.
