@RichardElden America isn't an Empire dip shit. You must be a monarchy and have a ruling King or Queen to be defined as an Empire by it's true meaning. America is a republic that is democratic (meaning we vote). Our president is ruled by the people not the other way around. A republic that states that it's citizens have rights that do not come from government, king or queen. How does it feel to be hated by EVERY damn country you invaded Britain, like India, China, Japan, Australia?

@666penisvagina Absolutely true. Laws were decreed that the Irish could not own land, work, or hunt food in their own country. There is a famous photo that shows an Irish man with his child, dead on the side of the road with grass stains on their mouths fro starvation. The British took away the very right for any Irish to survive. There were fish and fowl to eat, but the Brits made sure the Irish could not hunt or face execution by hanging. They never tell this historical fact.

Great job! More than 1/4 was lost to the genocide, it was a starvation not a famine, Hitler would be proud of the British, they are one and the same.
-
@RichardElden Yeah, famine, murder and terrorism and the deaths of the innocent are good, to a sick twisted individual like you. "they will call good, evil & evil, good". Sound familiar? Get help, you need it. I'll pray for you.

@Jimmyretired Now your country is getting a taste of it's own medicine. Your govt. brought all this on ITSELF. You ALMOST had America. Luckily, they threw you off before you had a chance to sink your mitts in too deep. Her satanic majesties govt. tried to take the world by force. Eire was the "proving ground" for later atrocities in America, China, India, parts of Africa..etc. Since WWII you LOST your "empire" now your country is OVERRUN by foreigners and...they aint goin' ANYWHERE. ASSHOLE.

@bheadh its not that only the potato would grow, it is that the Irish became reliant on the potato becuse of the English landlord system which necessitated the increasingly divided plots of land for each tenant family. By the 1800's the plots of land became so small that the potato was the only crop which could support a family on an acre or less.
It was th British that starved the Irish. Period. There was plenty of food to go around. The "surplus" food grown in Ireland at the time was sent to England. This was an early form of ethnic cleansing. All throughout the "famine" there was plenty of food. The goodwill examples of "help" was too little, too too late. Ireland was taken over by England, by force, all the Irish were sent to the rocky west of Ireland and huddled together on small farms were potatoes were the only thing that would gro

@001Dixie Yet all the English had to do was stop exporting the food until the potatoe blight ceased..!! So yes, they are to blame along with the wealthy landowners...And what about the work camps the english had set up?? the ones in which any Irish commoner growin crops of their own were placed for doing so?? They should apologise immediatelly and the Queen should have apologised for it when she "visited".! Isn't a visitor supposed to be welcome??
