In this Reason Tutorial, I'm going to use a Vocoder as a Spectrum Analyzer and make a Mastering preset, part one.

  • The irony for this video is that the audio is so poorly mastered that it is popping from all the digital clipping. Sounds like he's popping bubble wrap in the background.

  • @Phi1618033 yeah, something off with youtube or video editor conversion, take to long to re-render , so, it is, what it is

  • Good Lord. Who can remember all of this. Why can't Prop heads just make a preset for a spectrum analyzer? I can ReWire it into and check things with the spectrum analyzer in another DAW faster than than this.

  • @cioccciocc yeah, this would be useful for people who don't have a another DAW like Wave Lab or something, or a cool exercise for people who like to build stuff or get familiar with Reason modules.

  • if anyone wants to know about a hardware version for cheap, there is the Behringer DSP8024. I have one, and use it extensively.
