I find it interesting that Europeans didn't realize at the time that this was originally made for television, and criticized the writer and director for not being "honest enough" to show real casualties. In reality, the network forced so much censorship onto the writer and director that the movie is nothing like what they had intended. Horrible enough as it is, though.
