@borninJune1922 Well in a word Inertia. A wheel is a moving part. The heavier it is the more power it takes to move it, get it up to speed, and keep it there.
Yeaaah, really great :/ How can you call a wheel good if it can't withstand hitting a dog?! Piece of crap, that's what they are. I guess if they built a paper wheel it would be even lighter but would you still call it good?

well its no problem building a bike less then the 7 kg limit so why make the tyres so lightweight?
