"English at Work" is a program within the Human Resources department of St-Boniface Hospital. It is a valuable resource for employees of all areas of the hospital, from Food Services and Housekeeping to Laundry, Receiving, and the Research Centre.

It is funded by Manitoba Labour and Immigration, St-Boniface Hospital, The Sister Jacqueline St-Yves Fund and the United Food and Commercial Workers Union.

Idioms are an important tool in English language education. This video illustrates how complicated common English phrases may be to someone who is new to the language.

Participants in this video were drawn from the English at Work program.

This video was created by Research Pictures - a division of the Communications & Media Services department at St-Boniface Hospital Research.
