It hurts when people like the westboro baptist church say hurtful things against Bisexuals, lesbians, gays, etc. What's so wrong about loving another person Even if it's the same sex? When will the ignorance stop! Don't hate other people just because they have a diff. sexuality, religion, and etc. GAY RIGHTS! if there's a god up there that's what westboro church says there is, that hate's me because I'm bisexual and I'm an Atheist. It's a good point. But you have to ask yourself (and i don't know the answer to it either) if maybe we should pay for what our ancestors have done. After all, we still recieve the benefits attributed to their actions .... and minority groups still suffer because of what they did.

Just as wealth, or even poverty, are inhereted, so are social attitudes and the ramifications of older social attitudes.

And your ancestors were in America. Hypothetical situations don't work to justify this situation

So the actual amount of time which has passed isn't a good comparison ... but a comparison between this situation and an ... atom is? That's so far detached from the problem it's not even relevant.

Things have changed since then, yeah that's obvious, i'm saying that residual social attitudes remain. They're better, there's no doubt, but work still needs to be done to reach social equality.

Time like that isn't a good comparison.

You can take a picture of an atom, then one second later, take another picture. It is still the same atom, but an infinate number of things have changed since then.
