Excerpt of somewhat cheesy 1985 documentary shown on Australian TV of a tour group traveling from Shigatse ,Tibet to Kathmandu , Nepal . In that year the Tibet-Nepal highway had only just recently been opened up to foreigners.
Note the narrator saying that the group felt that compared to Tibet Kathmandu seemed to touristy and commercial . "Once as compelling as Tibet , Nepal is stark reminder of what money and modernisation " can do to a place the narrator said . Imagine what they would think if they could see Kathmandu today jammed with traffic ! . The video is a bit disjointed as i had to edit out all the commercial breaks.
crystal clear air would be nice.
