Toyota Camry SE that has has a loud whine for 20 minutes upon each cold start up. Read the bio on the other 2 vidios. This startup is on 4-1-2011. Vondalette White- Toyota Customer Experience supervisor at Toyota Corporate refuses to fix it. Mrs. White told me to go ahead and put the vidio on you tube that it would not hurt Toyota's sales. Then Mrs. White sends me a letter telling me my car is fine without mentioning the problems or why they are refusing to fix the car. I-95 Toyota service manager Pat Obrian told Toyota that he hears the whine but would not fix the car. Walker Jones dealership in Waycross Georgtia sold me the car. They had it warmed up when I bought it. The next day told me tough youo are stuck with the car when I complained about the loud power steering pump whinning. Walker Jones would not fix the car and the service department was vewry nasty to me. See my ad here in youtube ID# toyotacameryse Also see CNN.com ad # toyota666 The whole front end was welded and bolted on 1?4 " cooked. The drive train on front was cooked that is why the car pulled to the right. All of the dealers and even toyota claimed there was nothing wrong with the car. I showed them and got my $ 26, 334.77 back in a check from Toyota. Toyota took the car and sold it at auction to someone. Toyota sent a independent contractor that verified that the power steering pmp and fron end was unsafe. Are all 2011 Toyota Camry SE's this way. ?? Mine was

  • Toyota ended up having to give my full refund of $ 26,334.77 back to me in a check. I had a independent frame shop find that the front end is attached 1/4" crooked on the Camry SE and the power steering pump gets hot, boils over and whinnes. I WON !!!

  • I think that it is pretty crappy that Toyota and the 2 dealers in Georgia - I-95 Toyota in Brunswick Georgia and Walker Jones in Waycross Georgia have refused to fix a new 2011 Toyota Camry SE like this. I used to believie in Toyota, But now I do not have any faith in Toyota. Toyota Corporat refuses to fix the car dispite the strong evidence and even admission of the problems on a service report. Is this power steering problem a Safety issue?? Am I at risk and the car Dangerous??

  • Hi 1001Hobbies. Yes the power steering pump flud has been checked by numerous Toyota dealers. Thats the problem. Toyota will not fix the car. They don't care. Look at the brake issue Toyota had. It took people getting killed to make Toyota fix the brake problems. I am worried that the steering will go out on this car and cause a catastrofic wreck. Toyota cars have issues. I think that Toyota ought to be banned from the United States.

  • Hi 390merc65. No this is for real. I thoiugh a Toyota was going to be good too. But I got a Lemon and Toyota Corporate will not fix it. They know about the whinning to. It really is bad. All I can say is Toyota just don't care. I wish that I would never have bought the car. All I have to say is I will let the world know then file the Lemon Law. Look at I-95 Toyota in Brunswick, Georgia and Walker Jones in Waycross Georgia,. Bith Dealers refused to fix the car. Telling me all SE's whine.

  • Hi Killman 1971. Thanks. It is a shame that Toyota won't fix the car. It's just plain crappy buisness. It would seem after they put the whole public at risk and in danger with bad brakes that Toyota would try to do right. I made a big mistake buying a Toyota. GM or Ford would of fixed the power steering pump. It is kinda like China sending Poison toothpaste to the United States. Just don't buy a Toyota. They will not stand behind thier cars.

  • Hi Happy543210. My car has no dents. The Camry SE has those type of fenders that do look dented at some angles. The spoilers look different from a regular Camry. There is not a scratch on the car. The power steering pump Whinnes for a long time on crank up. I have taken it to several Toyota Dealers and none will fix it. Even Toyota refused to fix it. I will file the Lemon Law Monday.

  • I would sue them, take them to court.

  • I have a 2007 camry SE and on cold start up it sounds like a school bus and doesn't change gears. They also refused to fix it, claiming nothing was wrong.

  • clearly this is a defective pump, I work for a dealer and I can tell you if I heard something like that I would have ordered a pump for you no problem. I think you need to go to another Toyota dealer and call corporate to explain all the work you had to put in just to get a issue fixed. Is it a known issue? Not to my knowledge, no tsbs or recalls for that car, Toyotas are great cars and I promise you will enjoy your car for years to come. Its sad when I see a dealer isn't helping out a customer.

  • Does this happen to the V6?

  • I also have a 2011 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder. Mine also makes that sound when I first start it but only when the car is cold. It has a little over 5000 miles on it but it only lasts for maybe a minute or so. Then the car runs smooth. I honestly dont think you have anything to worry about.

  • I'm only asking because you did not mention it in the video or the description. Have you checked the power steering fluid level?
