F-Zero GX Flying Technique

Certain areas and certain types of cars allow you to fly in F-Zero GX for the Gamecube. Take Big Blue for example, go to the area shown and as soon as you leave the ramp, hold L or R and the same direction on the control stick as the shoulder button you choose and continue to hold A. You will spin around in circles and gradually float higher. You can eventually fly high enough that the level gets so small you can barely see it and everything turns black, but this will take like ten minutes or so. I used a custom machine called Jewel Wyvern-V2 that has a Body of E, Boost of A and Grip of A. Similar machines to this one will be able to fly.

I don't think you can, although I haven't tried it with him for a long time so it could be possible. Custom machines similar to the one I have shown tend to work best. GameFAQs says that the Paper Craft and Maximum Dragon work well, but does not state whether it is possible with any normal vehicle.

James Mccloud's ship cannot fly, but the Death Anchor and Super Piranha can.

The parts that make up the Jewel Wyvern-V2 are the only 3 parts in the F-Zero Shop that are priced at 10 tickets, the most out of any custom part. That almost leads me to believe that this technique was put in on purpose! O.o

i just beat all 3 grand prix's and just unlocked the jewel wyvern, thanks so much, i thought the only machines where paper craft and max dragon
