@swimteamizzle1114 He probably wasn't looking to see how much gas was in the car since he was thinking more about stopping the wedding and he probably felt he didn't have time to ask those guys to fill up the car with gas and/or, he forgot to ask. When the car stopped because there was no more gas, I didn't know it was because of no more gas at first where I thought he just parked the car. Then a few years later, I knew it was the gas ran out since he hit the steering wheel with anger.

Maybe some people don't realize that this a parody of "The Graduate." Dustin Hoffman has the same type of car and races into a gas station to find an address. He too runs out of gas. Same Simon and Garfunkel song as well.
