I made this map and video for my CS184: Computer Graphics final project in 2007. This should bring back memories for UC Berkeley Computer Science majors, or anyone else who's spent long hours in that big green building on north side.
(Note: Soda Hall is the computer science building at Berkeley)
Abstract: The goal of this project was to create a walk-able 3D model of Soda Hall of the University of California, Berkeley and part of its surroundings. This was done using the Half-Life 2 Software Developer Kit's Valve Hammer editor, which creates all the maps for Half-Life 2 and all games using the Source engine. Essentially, this was to be a Counter-Strike: Source map. The name of this map is sodahall_v1.bsp.

heyyyyyyyy i was going to do something like this! let's collaborate and make it more epic. I'm thinking make most of the small dumb rooms have fake doors instead of be real rooms (reduce the number of hiding places), and also expand it to include the fourth and second floors (and etcheverry entrance). Also, that 3rd floor hallway needs to be fatter. Add some exterior decorations, and the hostage rescue point can be somewhere outdoors on Hearst avenue.
