  • @Jamesishere777 - you don't believe 80% of your body weight? Hey, that's what the Total Gym instruction manual says. I don't write the manual. I can only believe its true.

  • Dont really see any muscle on this guy guess I will stick with real weights

  • Just so that you know, this was only Edgar's second time ever using the Total Gym and first time using the Bar Bender. So in that regard his endurance is really great to have just started with this particular equpment. Also, the Total Gym is excellent to combine with weights. Even the TV ads only inform you of the great workout you get from Total Gym toward strength and flexibility, not that it packs on muscle. Thanks for your comment.

  • Additionally, a weight bar can be added to most Total Gym units to increase the load as long as the total weight on the glideboard does not exceed the maximum capacity. Please contact support@totalgym.com with any questions. Thank you.

  • @FitzHoustonSports Total Gym chiming in here! There may have been a misunderstanding when reading the instruction manual. The most someone can lift on Total Gym (with the cable-pulleys disconnected) is 72% of bodyweight on the Total Gym PowerTower (the model w/ the most incline levels). You may have been looking at the pounds the user is lifting equivalent to the percentage of bodyweight being recruited at a specific incline level. {more}

  • I beleive the TG was made to rehab shoulders. and it did mine. My left shoulder and neck were really messed up, and now I can use the old methods of working out again, plus I've been trying super high rep workouts, which is time consuming but just something new. Thanks Fitz!
