Si-Si's Art Angels for Autism

My name is Sierra Hood. I am a senior at Big Bear High School in Big Bear city, California. As a senior I am required to do a senior project where I must select a topic of major significance to me, or my community, then create and complete a project relating to that topic that generates something real and tangible. Due to the fact that I am a budding artist I have decided to share my love of art with autistic children in my community. Because art therapy has shown to help autistic children develop their social skills I will be teaching art to a group of autistic children who will be known as "Si-Si's Art Angels"
I will hold six weeks of art classes. At the end of these classes the children's art will be showcased at a gallery event under the white tent at the Marina Resort on May 1st. At this event the children's artwork will be auctioned and all proceeds will go to the organizations The miracle Project and Common ground.
