Heresy Described

Mat_23:1 Then Jesus spoke to the crowd and to His disciples, Mat_23:2 saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. Mat_23:3 Therefore whatever they tell you to observe, observe and do. But do not do according to their works; for they say, and do not do.
Moses' Seat
Note Clark: "They sat there formerly by Divine appointment: they sit there now by Divine permission. What our Lord says here refers to their expounding the Scriptures, for it was the custom of the Jewish doctors to sit while they expounded the law and prophets, (Mat_5:1; Luk_4:20-22), and to stand up when they read them.
By the seat of Moses, we are to understand authority to teach the law. Moses was the great teacher of the Jewish people; and the scribes, etc., are here represented as his successors."
Jesus in Moses' Seat
Luk_4:14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee. And a report went out throughout all the neighborhood concerning Him. Luk_4:15 And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all. Luk_4:16 And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And, as His custom was, He went in to the synagogue on the Sabbath day and stood up to read. Luk_4:17 And the book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to Him. And unrolling the book, He found the place where it was written, Luk_4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is on Me; because of this He has anointed Me to proclaim the Gospel to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim deliverance to the captives, and new sight to the blind, to set at liberty those having been crushed, Luk_4:19 to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord." Luk_4:20 And rolling up the book, returning it to the attendant, He sat down. And the eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on Him. Luk_4:21 And He began to say to them, Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your ears.
Command to teach the law
Ezr_7:6 this Ezra went up from Babylon. And he was a ready scribe in the Law of Moses, which Jehovah, the God of Israel had given. And the king granted him all he asked, according to the hand of Jehovah his God on him.
Ezr_7:25 And now, Ezra, after the wisdom of your God that is in your hand, set officers and judges who may judge all the people who are Beyond the River, all who know the Laws of your God; and teach them who do not know. Ezr_7:26 And whoever will not do the Law of your God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily on him, whether it is to death, or to exile, or to confiscation of goods, or imprisonment.
Observe what they tell you to observe according to scripture not according to their works
Lev_20:10 And a man who commits adultery with a man's wife, who commits adultery with his neighbor's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.
Not unlike today the scribes and Pharisees are heritics
Joh_8:3 And the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman taken in adultery. And standing her in the midst, Joh_8:4 they said to Him, Teacher, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Joh_8:5 Now Moses in the Law commanded us that such should be stoned. You, then, what do you say?
Led into all truth
Neh_9:20 You also gave Your good Spirit to teach them, and did not withhold Your manna from their mouth, and gave them water for their thirst.
1Jn_2:27 But the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as His anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true and no lie, and as He has taught you, abide in Him.
...oh and another thing, they have song titles like 'failed creation' 'rise of the scorned' 'royal blood heresy' 'false gospel' and 'saviour self' and stuff like that, just to go with my first post...

Thanks for post.
Let us think on Christ - Php 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
I would not say listing to that kind of music is "sin", most probably its unclean (human, earthy) but is it edifying (pure, lovely, true, praise worthy, etc.).
