Hello, I've been collecting rare films and television programmes for nearly twenty years now and I thought it was high time I shared some clips from a few of the titles in my archive with you nice people out there. If you've a similar passion or just want to say hello, thanks etc. get in touch with me here or at statesedgefilms@virginmedia.com

I look forward to hearing from (at least) a few of you and hope that you enjoy my humble offerings.

SCALES OF JUSTICE (1962-67)
Series of 13 theatrical second features hosted by Edgar Lustgarten. First released in British cinemas in the 1960s (and later shown on UK television) they were filmed at Merton Park Studios, London, and on location.

THE HAUNTED MAN (1966)
Badly injured while trying unsuccessfully to stop a smash-and-grab thief, actor Bill Kenton is obsessed with the idea of finding the villain.

  • Mercy.Isobel Black footage. You are my hero.THANK YOU for posting this!

  • @wwahc1964 Hero? Ohhh... (blushes) really? Surely that should involve ladders, crumbling walls and a fireman's lift? Still, I'll take the thanks and agree with you re: Miss Black, certainly easy on the eye, isn't she?

  • Wow - Any man who can track clips down with Isobel Black in them has my respect and gratitude!!!!!

  • @padgenator R-E-S-P-E-C-T, find out what it means to me... A great deal, actually. Thanks, Mate, I commend you on your impeccable taste.

  • Can't wait for the DVD release of this series later this year (2012) from Network DVD, and Edgar Wallace...ooh and Scotland Yard! I can put my VHS transfers in the bin!

  • This is beautiful old telly. Thank you for posting

  • @bunnyleah Well done, when I was about 9 years old in 1972, late night tv shows ( before midnight !) were something to look forward to either during holidays or weekends because, pre- video, you did not want to miss them. These were repeats THEN when I saw them, but I used to be fascinated by such shows, and I used to sneak Friday afternoon off from the Junior school around that time at my Gran's, idling after lunch, and staying there to watch repeats of 'Danger Man' at 2:25 on ITV !!

  • @crackerboxpal The whole series of 13 episodes is now on ebay, I found them yesterday! - seller pinkcaz81.

  • @statesedgefilms. Do you have many of the 'Scales of justice' series made at Merton park studios? The last episode in the series made in 1967 was called 'Payment in kind' and was partly filmed at my fathers jewellers shop in Raynes park. It was shown on tv a long while ago. Great to see these clips. Thanks for the upload.

  • This series and the magnificent theme music has haunted me since first seeing them in the cinema in the early 60's. Is there any way I can obtain them on DVD ( 13 episodes I believe). Network have recently released the even more magnificent Private Eye series, but what about this series? Thanks friend for sharing.
