It's been 52 years since the U.S. first imposed the embargo on Cuba. 52 years of suffering by people on both sides of the water. Half a century is long enough, this film is Ten Reasons why.

Cuba is one of the oldest places colonialized by Spanish conquistadores. People from all over the world flock to the island to enjoy its colonial architecture, its history, smoke its cigars, dance to its many types of music, enjoy a world without ads and experience the many cultures, sights, sound and smells that are Cuba.

Everyone in the world is afforded this privilege, unless you're an American citizen.

America, land of the free and home of the brave, is the only country that prohibits its citizens from enjoying all that Cuba has to offer. Including, but not limited to oil, tobacco, rum, sugar, some of the world's best doctors and creative talents.

Ten Reasons explores how lifting the U.S. embargo against Cuba will benefit both countries. Ten Reasons is the film that could change U.S. Policy toward Cuba.

@elizabethfaraone The trade of Cuban sugar has gone to shit to put things mildly. You will see if you go to Cuba. Cuba was one of the largest sugar exporters in the world but no longer and it wasn't the US's fault; remember that they kicked the US out of Cuba and stole all American businesses that were originally there. Cuban infrastructure is pretty much on the ground. If Cubans cant even get the basic necessities why would you think they would be able to export sugar?

@elizabethfaraone The US hasn't done anything to Cuba in the past 50 years, probably the reason why Cuba is in the crapper since they cant mooch off of Russia anymore.

Well with all the money Cuba took from the US when they took over in the 50's and then the debt of millions they refused to pay back I can understand why the embargo is in place. However, not allowing American citizens to travel as tourists there is a bit ridiculous. But then again Cuba is classified as a terrorist country so there are probably other issues at hand.

The US has brutalized Cuba for over 52 years, and almost all Americans know nothing about Cuba. Says a lot, doesn't it?
