  • Nice. He knows his stuff. These gate punches will work against a simple attack but if a boxer dances around whipping out punches i think he will get popped.

  • @rmattyp He addresses the difference in dealing with a street situation and a boxer in the video.

  • It's crazy how he always critizes boxers punches..when they have been perfected in combat for nearly 100 years (yes, combat, not lat sau). Do he really think he could make that sticky fingers and chain punching against someone like Muhammad Ali ?

  • @BringerOfTheTruth

No, in fact he addresses it. And Emin has been in more streetfights and life-or-death situations than the vast majority of boxers.

  • @soetsme did you see any of his so called streetfights ? if not then stfu

  • @BringerOfTheTruth

Give me a break. If you don't know who Emin Boztepe is and his background then clearly you know zero about who's who in martial arts. Obviously you're a boxing fan and could probably talk intelligently about anything in the boxing world but you're a little out of your league here.

  • It's amazing how people always compare street fights to pro fights. It seems like there are pros wandering around the streets all the time. In street situations, anything can happen (i.e. knifes). But chances are, in a STREET fight, you will be fighting some average joe. A martial artist trained in ANY discipline (Boxing, WingTsun or what not) should be able to take care of themselves.

  • what if your a child that would do no good

  • @Darknives

Wing Chun is 300 years old. And Boxing is an ancient martials art. It has also proven himself in competition over and over again. And before you tell me "its only sport". I won´t hesitate to punch anyone in the balls with my boxing ability or attack the eyes with eyejabs. So the deliverysteme (boxing) stays the same..in the ring and on the street.

  • @BringerOfTheTruth perfect for nearly 100 years??

lol that's a joke, I'm not even arguing which punch is better, I'll just tell your argument makes no sense since wing chun has been perfecting it's punches for more than 5.000 years.

Kung Fu is the oldest martial art, no denying that.

  • I did antigrapling and wt under boztepe for 3 years and i say & claim: his 'anti' grappling sucks. How do i know? i train krav now & mma and when they have you in a lock, no WAY ever you can escape....not when the lock is done by those who's style concentrates on submissions....i dare anyone to try that.....go train other styles & wake up from the dream & illusion!

  • no matter what the aggressor do, the well done fist always works

  • @rmattyp

in that case you would just have to stop the boxer by doing a simple stopkick onto his legs.

i have fought with my wing chun against some quiet good boxers and a stopkick really works as an universal solution. but also sorta the punches which are shown on this video.... it´s all about how good your wing chun is.

... but as far as i know WT quiet sucks against western boxing =P ...
