Have you seen Point Break? as that was directed by Kathryn Bigelow, she's produced both great drama and high octane action films, try not to be closed minded in your reviews.

I think they decided to make the skull faded instead of being bright white to fit the dark mood of the film.. a bright white skull is just too comical no matter how badass they make the skull face look like.. same reason why the x-men all wore black suits in the trilogy instead of their colorful comic book outfits.. like hey c'mon imagine hugh jackman in that yellow outfit with that yellow mask.. am I right?

Sorry I don't script my movie reviews that I do on the fly. Next time i'll take 45 mins. out of my day to do that.
