  • Frankly, I don't understand your comment. If you're saying you don't like Detroit because black people don't like white people, that's unfair to Detroit. There are white people who don't like black history also. As far as I'm concerned, both groups are out of touch with reality and way off base. I don't have time for people who don't like other people. I don't care what color they are.

  • I know what you mean. I've often wished that I could have gotten my hands of a pair of seats.

  • Nothing of any significance. I understand there is a plan now to preserve the area between the two duggouts but no details about that yet.

  • i know i must sound like an idiot, but how come its taking them so long to take it down

  • Well first of all, you do not sound like an idiot. It's taking some time now because a decision was made by the City of Detroit to allow a certain group of people to raise enough money to preserve part of the park. They raised it...now we're waiting for all of that discussion to be finalized.

  • A few things. Thank you for serving in Vietnam. Also, thank you for all these videos. I'm only 19 but have fond memories of all various kinds of games and activities at the field. It's a real shame. =(

  • Believe me, I know how you feel. I think the best remedy is to make it a point to get over to the new stadium. If you haven't been there...you have to go! It helps get the bad taste out. Comerica Park is something to brag about.

  • Old Comiskey Park in Chicago, Illinois was quite similar to this park in construction. When that was demolished in 1991, they needed to put the wrecking ball to it as well, I heard that the solid brick and mortar construction would make the use of TNT not as practical for whatever reason.

  • im a new yorker and yankee fan but its very sad to see such a classic park go down

  • Love this old stadium. Sad to see it go down. I remember Fielder hitting a HR on the roof in CF

  • @icemanj12 Tiger Stadium could have been saved with 50% of the money it took to build what's there now.

  • Went there as part of tour group back in '96. We sat in the upper deck behind 3rd. base. It turned out to be Cecil Fielders' last game as a Tiger.

  • @bobbytee7934 We don't hate white history we hate stereotypes about us. I always love baseball just because whites and Latinos is the majority of doesn't mean anything

  • black people just don't like white history ,,, that way i hate detroit

  • If I could have one piece of memorabilia from the old ballpark, it would have to be one of the trough urinals...strange, yes, but I remember having to get on my tiptoes as a boy just to be able to use them.

  • that was a waste of 4 minutes of my life, i thought i was going to see it come down! thumbs up if u agree

  • that was a waste of 10 minutes of my life, thumbs up if u agree
