ACTUALLY, they will "mimic" ANYTHING. They are in a family of birds called Mimids, so it sort of makes sense. Don't swear, or act like a jerk on my wall.
I've been following mockingbirds for years (all city birds) and they all seem to have common tones. No machinery or sirens or any other non-bird sound!

I live now, they don't have mockingbirds!
I just pity the poor bugger that lives next to a fire station, or a railroad crossing that has one of these in the neighborhood!
i have one right outside my window, and it decides to only sing at night after 11pm...its a pain!
