Here we are at Dover Station and yard looking at a few NJ Transit trains. My original plan was to catch ALP-46A #4629 running on train #649 at Maplewood Station. However the traffic on the way there was awful and it caused me and my Dad to miss ALP-46A #4629 at Maplewood. From there we tried to follow it and catch it at Summit, Chatham, Madison, Convent Station, Morristown, Morris Plains, Mount Tabor, and Denville but still the traffic would not let us get there on time. Talk about bad luck! So I decided we should go to Dover Station and get a look at it in the yard. Once we arrived at Dover we found ALP-46A #4629 sitting with it's consist of 6 comets in the yard. It is too bad because we won't be able to hear the propulsion because it was in the yard for the weekend.
Sitting next to 4629 was ALP-46 #4619 sitting with it's consist of multilevels also in for the weekend. During my time there we see a few trains moving around and pulling in and out of Dover Station.
While looking at the two trains suddenly ALP-46 #4609 pops out with a train of multilevels going to its final stop with multilevel cab car #7034 trailing. Shortly after letting off commuters at Dover Station ALP-46 #4609 with multilevel cab #7034 back into the Dover yard and park there for the weekend.
Then we go back to the platform at Dover and a NJ Transit train of multilevels from New York Penn Station arrive at it's last stop with multilevel cab #7014 leading and ALP-46 #4622 pushing in back. Again shortly after dropping off commuters ALP-46 #4622 then pulls it's train into Dover yard with cab #7014 and also parks for the weekend.
After the train clears multilevel cab #7007 then backs into Dover with ALP-46 #4617 getting ready for a run to New York Penn Station. After picking up commuters ALP-46 #4617 pulls out of the station while GP40PH-2B #4207 pulls in with Comet V cab #6008 going to Lake Hopatcong.
Then another multilevel train from New York Penn Station pulls in to Dover with cab #7005 leading and ALP-46 #4615 pushing, and at the same time a train to Hoboken pulls in with Comet V #6057 leading with PL42AC #4025 pushing. Shortly after picking up commuters Comet V #6057 departs with PL42AC #4025.
Next time I am going to catch ALP-46A #4629 in service.
Enjoy!

lol the only way to tell the difference is the engine sounds and the number. They look exactly the same.
