I am a certified trainer in M.I. T'ai Chi, trained by Kate herself, and I can assure you that she stresses correct knee posture in relation to foot placement. She is very careful to "do no harm", and is very VERY aware of teaching and demonstrating how to SAFELY perform this.
Actually that is not true. Looking at how low a Butt is to the floor and the waist ...you can determine if the knee is out in front of a weight bearing foot. unfortunately ...performance Tai chi
often looses structure. There is only one tai chi and it is extremely comprehensive. health, Martial and spiritual
Actually, without a side view I think it is only your guess that her knees are going beyond her toes. I've seen many people come down into a full squat (ma bu) without their knees going beyond the toes. Without a side view you cannot tell.
As aTai Chi instructor I was suprised that you paid no attention to knoee alignment ... actually YOUR knees came out in front of your foot. FIRST DO NO ARM
