All he wanted was a little free legal advice. Unfortunately for one Farmington man, he decided to dial 911 instead of a lawyer.
In a tape of a Thursday night 911 call made available by Farmington police, a man identified by police as Robert Michelson, 21, of Farmington, asks how much trouble he'd get into for growing one marijuana plant. The dispatcher advises that he could be arrested, at which point the caller thanks the dispatcher and hangs up.
Police were able to trace the call back to an address on Waterville Road. Narcotics officers from Farmington went to the house and allegedly discovered that Michelson was growing marijuana there. Michelson allegedly admitted that he had spent "a lot of money online buying everything he needed to grow marijuana, including the seeds," police said. Officers seized a small amount of marijuana and numerous items of drug paraphernalia for smoking and growing the drug, police said.
During the conversation with the dispatcher, the man identified by police as Michelson is asked what his emergency is, and he replies "Uh, let's not get into that yet."
It all goes down hill from there, as the caller learns that he can indeed get into trouble for growing just one marijuana plant.
"Well, I have a legal question," the caller said.
"Is it life threatening or an active crime in progress?" the dispatcher asked.
The caller said, "Crime in progress, possibly."
After being asked, "What's going on?" by the dispatcher, the caller said, "I was just growing some marijuana and I was just wondering what, how much trouble you can get in for one plant."
The dispatcher asked how big the plant was and the caller responded that it is a seedling. The dispatcher then told him he could get arrested for possession, so the caller thanked him and hung up.
Michelson was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia in a drug factory, possession of less than four ounces of marijuana, illegal cultivation of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on $5,000 bond.
But before he left the police station, Michelson reportedly gave one final goodbye to the dispatcher: two middle fingers, "presumably for doing such a good job," police said.

  • @arsenalfan20007 that was the a research funded by Ronald Reagan. Basically they put a gas mask on monkeys and for 5 minutes a day they pumped them with weed. Well after 5 minutes without additional oxygen your brain is going to shut down and you're going to lose cells. After three months the monkeys began to atrophy and die. After counting the brain cells of naturally dying monkeys with their suffocated monkeys they found the monkeys on pot had lost more braincells than those not on pot. They

  • In audiotapes of Ronald Reagan's broadcast commentaries,

Reagan made clear his view that individuals should be allowed to use

    marijuana if they wanted.

The broadcasts come from before he became president and

    were believed lost.

In one broadcast, Reagan said it was an individual's choice if they

chose to smoke marijuana, as long as they knew the health risks.

Reagan had a strong Libertarian streak, and the safety testing was thought to be a step toward legalization, if deemed safe.

  • @fmnma1 ArsenalFan20007 was simply explaining to MarijuanaProduction that he was making unwise choices by A. Publicly calling himself "MarijuanaProduction," while B. Publicly broadcasting video footage of himself handling marijuana plants.

MarijuanaProduction called this guy "reaLly DUMB". I responded by pointing out that he is basically doing the same thing, only online instead of the phone. His counter-argument was that having a YouTube account is legal, completely missing the point.

  • @BludBaut There seems to be some validity to that. Think about it: If drugs became legal, the price would drop dramatically. The risks of transport, possession and use is what makes drugs so valuable.

  • @SMILEYRLR All very true. Well, the WWII bit is surprising -- I've never heard of that one before.

But whatever our beliefs on marijuana, the problem is that it IS illegal in many places, and so one must be discrete about his use.

This is a hilarious example of someone who was so indiscriminate about airing his illegal activities that one would assume it was some kind of prank, until you discover that he actually DID have seedlings growing in his closet.

  • @thehoodlum1919 We came full-circle, and now completely agree.

  • @Ultranothing not really the only law i break is just some marijuana ones i get some what good grades dont lie about important stuff never stolen anything(if i have it was to small to even matter most likely) so maybe i should re-phrase my self fuck asshole cops who abuse there power(not saying this cop was i was making a funny joke to relate with people) and also my friend made this account name i just use it now.....

  • @thehoodlum1919 Says, "the hoodlum." The only people who hate cops are scumbags who can't get by in life with lying, cheating, or stealing to "survive."

So, is that an accurate description of the "hoodlum"?

  • fuck cops

  • everything kills brain cells. hell drinking is worse than smoking pot. I don't see nothing wrong with it if people want to smoke pot. the only reason it's illegal is because the government can't control it. early medical research has shown that it does not induce violence, addiction, or lead to use of other drugs. during the 17th century and WWII the government encouraged growing pot, because it was the #1 cash crop. that shit about the monkeys is dumb. yeah if suffocate an animal it will die

  • @AresenalFan20007 went on to associate that smoking marijuana kills your brain cells. And how many people believed it not knowing the origin of the study.
