  • Awesome Fair play dude,

    5 stars :]

    Awesome playing

    3 Awesome bands (Y)

and an awesome new guitar i must say.

Ive been looking at getting a Capa Horus

I Was after the Horus HGS in Pro Black,

Can you give me a quick rundown on how it is to play? they sell them near me in cranes in cardiff like but i havent gone along to try one yet so was wondering if you give me soem details etc :]. Thanks again man (Y)

  • Hey man thanks alot,

First of all try to not buy from Cranes if you can, they have outrageous prices for being the 'official' Cap UK dealer, especially now with the 09 price increase.

Check the Caparison or Bmusic forums to see if anyone is selling them.

As for how it plays, its a very unique guitar, thicker neck, shorter scale length. So if Cranes have one I recommend going there and trying it out, because the Horus isn't for everyone, but for some it's perfection :)

  • your guitar seems very similar xsajienx who i also watch for covers on Soilwork and Scar Symmetry.. the low end sounds really chuggy and the tone sounds decent.. keep up the nice work my friend!

  • Thanks dude, yeah it's the same model as xsajienx, the only difference is my one has an ebony fingerboard with the ol' clock inlays whereas his is solid maple.

  • Hey dude, you make me regret my dear Horus now, bastard! :D

Really good sound that you can get out of those weak Caparison pickups!

    Disarmonia Mundi rules, hehe

  • Haha, I know I said that I wanted a fixed bridge....but I'd pick a Horus /w tremol-no over any fixed bridge guitar :P

The pups can get pretty muddy on the low chuggy stuff, but theyre ok for now :)

  • @SuperGukke thank you^^

  • @lisian123 Sry, I don't usually ask stupid questions before googleing... *I'm ashamed now*

I just never had heard of a guitar of that kind before. Hope someone answers your original question soon...

  • @SuperGukke ' Why wouldn't it?' 'Cause it's called HGS, Heavy Gauge Strings

  • @lisian123 Why wouldn't it? Or did I miss something? :O Great guitar and great playing btw!

  • is it possible to tune these HGS guitars to standard tuning?

  • Tuning? that is definitely not standard
