Chapter 4 Part 2

Continuing for Nick's point of view

"Joe, Im so sorry. This is all my fault." I apologized.

He shook his head. "No, its not."

"But--" I started to say before he hushed me.

"Nick, I feel lightheaded. Just in case, I dont wake back up--"

"Dont say that, Joe! You're gonna wake back up! Everythings gonna be okay!"

"Nick. Just face it. Dont lie."

"Come on, Joe. Keep fighting. You can make it! Do you need anything? At all? Anything to make you feel better?" I asked him.

He smiled and whispered, "I wish I could see Demi's face one last time."

"Last time?! Joe! You're gonna see her when we can get a hold on her and then she'll come and see you. Then when you're better-- "

"Nick. Do me a favor."

"Anything." I replied.

"I want you to tell--"

"Demi!" Frankie says interrupting my flashback.

Demi starts gasping for air and everyone surrounds her again.

"Demi! Are you okay, sweetheart?" Selena says hugging her.

"What happened?" She asks.

"You fainted." I tell her and it looks like she just remembered everything that just happened in the previous minutes. "Demi! Are you okay?" I ask grabbing her shoulders to steady her just in case she faints again.

In the blink of an eye, she starts running out of the door. Selena and I chase after her into the pouring rain. She's running down the street and we follow her.

"Demi! Demi!" We shout after her but she doesn't slow down.

"Where is she going?!" I ask Selena.

"I have no clue." She pants.

Demi starts slowing down after a few blocks.

"Sel! She's slowing down! Come on!" We run even faster towards Demi until we catch up with her.

We accidentally collide and we all fall down. We all just lay there on the wet cement. The rain is coming down, drenching us.

"Demi." I pant turning on my left side to where Demi is on the ground. She's crying. Selena and I both hug her. "It's gonna be okay, Demi." I say to her.

"Don't lie to me, Nick!" She screams at me. I'm shocked and don't say anything because I'm not even sure if what I said is true. "It's not gonna be okay! Nothing is okay! Joe's gone! He dead! He's dead..." She cries more and I hear Selena crying too. Tears fill my own eyes.

"I know, Demi. But before Joe... d-d..." It was hard trying to say that word. "Before he left us, he told me he wanted me to let you know that he loves you, Demi. He loves you so much. More than you know. And that your the love of his life. And will be for eternity and beyond. And that he wished he could see your face one last time."

That made her cry even harder.

"Shh.. don't cry." I pat her back.

"If he loved me, why did he leave?" She keeps crying.

"Demi, he still loves you. Don't you get that? You're last person he thought about. You're all he could think about. Ever. He's gonna be your guardian angel. He's gonna be with you forever."

She sits up and Selena and me do the same. I look around. We're near the entrance to Rockefeller Center Ice Rink. Uh-oh.

Here's a shout out to Nicky who wanted to know what Joe was thinking before he... [[whispers]] died. [[tear,tear.]] lol. Anyway: Hola, my sweet potato! lol. Thankiez for the rawesomely rawesome idea!
