PREVIOUSLY: In a divergent reality where Soma Cruz had also ascended to the top of Dracula's Castle and confronted Graham, that Soma had failed to take heed of the clues within the Ancient Books in order to properly gain dominance over his full power, and as a result Arikado - or Alucard as he was formerly known - became the master of the castle. Although Soma and Mina were allowed to escape through Arikado's power, the castle remained hidden within the eclipse. One day, it would harvest another soul in order to bring back the evil count yet again.

SYNOPSIS: In reality, Soma decided to use the knowledge gained from the Ancient Books in order to absorb the last of Dracula's power for himself. The Flame Demon, Giant Bat, and Succubus souls were put into play in order to defeat Graham properly. This combination triggered a reaction to Dracula's dormant soul, causing it to migrate into Soma through a painful transition. Rather than Arikado absorbing the power of the count, it went directly into Soma, creating a new Lord of Darkness. But Julius was not content to sit idly by while another vampire was born, and he laid in wait for Soma at the source of the corruption within the Inner Sanctum.

ABILITIES GAINED:
* Black Panther

BOSSES DEFEATED:
* Graham
* Julius

NEXT TIME: With Julius' promise of retribution should Soma fail to defeat the source of Dracula's Curse, the new vampire lord entered the Chaotic Realm, a place where space and time were completely warped. This twisted realm took various memories from Soma's mind and merged them with the will of Dracula's spirit, blending them into a physical manifestation. Within the Chaotic Realm, several new monsters had been born. But what awaited Soma at the heart of the corruption? Stay tuned!

  • Wouldn't it have been easier to use Claimh Solais

  • Not really. Claimh Solais has an innate Holy-elemental attack, and since Julius is aligned with the Holy element, it doesn't do as much damage, not to mention that Gugner can get in multiple hits, sometimes three or four in a second.

    If you're talking about Graham, then yes, it would have been "easier", especially the second form. However, I needed to get the battle done quickly in order to fit in the Julius fight later within a 10 minute video, so I went with the multi-hitting Gugner instead
