the helium is lighter of (than) air...
so the helium balloon floats. like a rubber ducky would in water. her blue balloon has no helium and falls to the floor.

  • @Seracinfinity Perhaps read what I was replying to, I never once said that Newton's law is correct.

    Also the minus sign is important in showing that the force is attractive not repulsive, given that force is a vector not a scalar, the minus sign should be included whether or not you include the displacement vector.
