Venus top Serena at Wimbledon

It is hard to explain just how good these sisters are. Venus and Serena Williams have dominated women's tennis for over a decade. They are the faces of American tennis there isn't a man that comes close to their titles.

@JordanjamesX Totally agree! I think Overall, Venus is the better of the two when they meet, but it's that small lack of mental toughness and concentration in-match that gives Serena the edge in those slams, especially the Finals.

I think if Venus and Serena weren't sisters Venus would win A LOT more slams. The reason Venus loses to Serena a lot is the lack of mental toughness she worries too much about Serena's feelings. If Serena was just another opponent and NOT her younger sister I think their series in the slams would be VERY DIFFERENT.

Hopefully Venus will find that nitche again...I was a dissapointed in her loss this past Wimbledon to pirankova...she should have won that match and she knows it. When Venus is serving well, she rarely going to loose...she's just so inconsistent. Serena is mentally stronger and her game is consistent thats why she wins and thats why she intimidates so many players. Its almost as if she's won before the game even starts. It USE to be that way with Venus back in the early 2000's.

I have to agree with the other posters Venus is more mature with her losses. I feel Serena needs to grow up a bit. I am sure Venus wasn't thrilled about losing six grand slam finals to Serena. I wish Venus was more mentally tough though. I honestly believe if Venus and Serena were NOT sisters that Venus mentality would be much different when playing Serena. Venus would be more hungry and want to win even more!

Wow it's good to see Venus playing well. I think she will have good luck this year at wimbledon. Best fo luck to her and her sister, Serena
