  • LED is the future, as they last much longer, don't flicker, and provide much more natural color than fluorescent lights. Also, fluorescent lights cause pollution when discarded due to the poisonous coating inside. So far, the problem with LEDs is that they aren't bright enough to replace all lights in the house, but they may catch up soon.

  • @filix92 obviously it should be japanese

  • @mate2000 leds flicker

  • @kevxsi16v Agreed, electronic ballasts suffer from electrolytic capacitor, or other internal failure, most caps are never rated to the environment they are used in. LED's do not use traditional ballasts. White LED's have a forward voltage of around 3.7 volts but do have requirements that limit current to them.

Personally I am with you, I would love to see a magnetic ballast for T-5, T-8's. Heat just cooks the new breed of energy efficient ballasts and sourcing components on price point dont help

  • @CTOL1 T5 = CRAP as a lighting maintenance engineer we have T5 fittings that are about 5-6 years old and dead. Stupid electronic ballasts just die most of the time the lamp outlasts the ballasts. The schools fire stations and factories i look after do not use cheap stuff either. Some of the places want magnetic put back in due to the retarded electronic ballasts packing up!

  • Man did this guy just get out of bed put on those clothes and go to work? Lol

  • @rohane21 NO! you'll burn ur hands

  • lol. "A unique feature is this part here. This is so the light doesn't explode."

  • Cool Idea, I used to work in the industry, changes come fast

This product could do very well when factoring in the existing fixtures and their ability to light in cold climates.

With T-5 all the rage it be a no brainer to retro older T-8 and larger fixtures after cost savings become clear

  • Very Expensive currently.

  • what language are they speaking?

    Thanks.
