This was a step back in violence for Craven compared to Last House, even though this movie was still plenty violent for the time and decade, and compared to Last House it was a far more relavent social commentary piece for the 70s. Great stuff guys, keep it up.

i have never seen the original, the remake was, wow! it was extreme, the rape was pretty hard for me to watch, the violence was really awesome and extreme as hell!
