  • She is so right, the Dick Van Dyke show was so much better than the comedy shows today.

  • You are 100% right Rose Marie, I also do not watch today's garbage that is on tv at all... Thank god for putting these REAL classics on DVD!!!

  • Thorooughly agree with Rose Mare. In fact I rarely watch anything that made it into colour.

  • Good point...you felt comfortable at Rob & Laura's home as well at work with Buddy & Sally and Mel. Now, I don't want to be on the same street with half of these dullards on the idiot box today.

  • BTW, my son inherited a very "Van Dyke-esque" manner from his maternal grandfather (my dad, a WWII vet who passed in 1984 and was of Dick's generation and enjoyed the show when it was first airing), as you can see from the video from his wedding in 2009, which can be found by searching the words "Winston" and "Jemimas" here on YT (worth the trouble!)

  • THANK YOU ROSE MARIE FOR BEING PART OF MY CHILDHOOD IN THE 60'S....I DID NOT UNDERSTAND THE CONTENT FULLY AS A CHILD THEN, I JUST WATCHED IT BECAUSE IT WAS PART OF THE CULTURE THEN. BUT NOW THAT TECHNOLOGY HAS PUT THE PAST IN OUR HOMES I CAN GO BACK AND UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT AS ADULTS THEN AND APPRECIATE IT NOW AND ENJOY IT.....I LIKE HEARING THE AUDIENCE PEOPLE COUGH NOW AND THAN EVEN THOUGH YOU CAN'T SEE THEM.....THAT'S CRAZY MY NAME IS ROSEMARIE TOO, BUT TOGETHER

  • She's speaking it, but I don't know about a switch Victorian days. I'll definitely keep the nudie postcards in my sock drawer though.

  • She's great to listen to, makes alot of valid points, and makes alot of sense.

  • Thank you for telling it like it is Rose Marie!! TV nowadays.....bleek!!!

  • AMEN!!!!!!!!!
