  • Thanks for sharing, I was one of the chefs at the 3rd floor playmate lounge. I lived and worked there for a year. I was there until it closed. People i remember is Playmate Daffy, Libra & Donna......Julia was one of the cashiers that i would love to connect with again. I posted a group picture on my Facebook search for Joey McClain if anyone wants to contact me......joseph.patrick.mcclain@gmail.com

  • @joweemac ...we likely worked together as I was the Playmate Manager until it closed and was taken over by Americana. I remember Daffy, and others too. You should join the Playboy Great Gorge on Facebook and see all the old photos of this wonderful place. Thanks for your post!

  • Hugh Hefner sold off this resort and the sister resort in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin due to multiple gaming losses and judgements against Playboy Enterprises. His daughter, Christie, took over the operations during this time. I worked there until its closing. It was sad to see it go.

  • I was there when I was a kid with my parents. Can you walk through it ?

  • I was a bunny there too! In 78/79. WOW! Thanks so much for sharing this video. Brought back some great memories. LMAO!! I lived on property in the BUNNY DORM which was (as you know) located ON the golf course. Is it still there? I would love to see what that looks like these days.

  • I worked there as a bunny! Some of the most wonderful memories.

  • This brings back really good childhood memories of my weekend's away with my parents & two sisters. In the 1970's The Playboy Club had an air of classiness I will never forget. It was an unique resort to say the least. It really had something for everyone in the family to enjoy. Its too bad Mr.Hefner decided to sell off the resort complexes. Today's travel industry has lost it's past luster. The return of alittle "Mad Men" style & charm in todays holiday would be refreshing change of pace.

  • I played golf there last summer at the course right next to the resort. Believe it or not they were actually using the hotel as a place for the foreign help to stay. According to one of the golf course guys, they leave the front main doors wide open 24 hours a day, there is no air conditioning and critters and animals wander in all the time. It's sad that this place is a dump. The golf course sucks too.

  • This is very interesting. My wife and I stayed here with another couple in the Mid 70's during the winter and enjoyed sledding. The rooms were very nice for the time and it wasn't cheap. Thanks for posting this.
