Only because most owners cut their balls off and rob them away from their family so callously of their adoration for their mom or babies. Otherwise most pets would have great reason to appreciate being cared for by their owners.

I have.They don't appreciate the people who are holding them hostage.They don't mind the nurses who aren't the one's making the decisions. But they have sincere despise for the doctor that's holding them there, generally. So, once again, Stockholm Syndrome, is busted. It's a nonexistent condition. The phrase was coined to sell the notion that people who take hostages are universally despicable & you're dysfunctional if you empathize

1 per 350 US citizens is a spy agent bureaucrat with a top secret security clearance. There are 6,000,000 people in the Boston area. 1 per 350 times 6 million comes out to about 17,000 Top Secret Spy Agent Bureaucrats, JUST IN BOSTON. If each of them has a budget of a million dollars a year to buy info and smooth relations and hire dupes to do jobs for the agency, then they could easily have a hundred thousand people partying on the streets around Boston, most just promised free booze.

That's not Stockholm Syndrome. That's mostly agency and the friends of Federal Agents that are celebrating in the street. I've read posts of real people in Boston and they're not happy about having their homes raided without warrant, having guns put in their face for refusing warrantless search and having their guns confiscated without warrant. The sentiment that was expressed was: "This is BULLSHIT!"
